Zentangle Alcohol Ink Mashup

I thought a little art amuse cerveau was in order.  Something between parts one and two of the festival.  Also, Cathie needs to mail me a few photos for part two (ahem) so... brain amusement.

I have been doing a lot of water coloring. Pretty much to the exclusion of every other artistic pursuit.  Mostly landscapes because I am not good at them. Im not gonna lie... I was not zen upon completion of these little zen palette cleansers. I enjoyed the alcohol ink part but the little marking - the zentangle part I didn't enjoy. It made me tense. As much as art can make me tense.  Knitting makes me tense. Playing Operation makes me tense. Hiking along a cliff's edge makes me tense! But I liked what resulted.  I got the idea off Pinterest.  I also made two bookmarks.  One for my friend Michelle.  She is not an artist.  She is a reader and a lover of dogs.  Her birthday is approaching.  She needs a book to go with it if anyone knows any good dog themed books.

Here ya go.

If you decide to do them either use alcohol fast ink or be finicky when nearing the ink with the alcohol ink. It will erase or erasish. To get the bubbles drop plain alcohol on them.  I made them on that craft plastic that is like Yupo.  I think these make sweet bookmarks.  Just a little cherry on top when gift giving.  Something made by you.

OK see ya when Cathie delivers the goods for R2 of the festival. Subtle. I know.
