I am on an Asian Kick

 OK big lie right up front!

Not on an Asian kick.  Sue S. liked the Asian lady I watercolored so I decided to do another.  I am a Sue pleaser!  Plus I like doing those ladies because it incorporates a lot of what I like and am exploring now.

So on with the pic:

 First about the image I drew from.  It was an AI created picture. So no author (known?).  I changed up a lot and made it my own so I could use tools I wanted to play with. This is watercolor and gel pens. I know lots of people balk at the gel pens over the watercolor. I am in the I love what I love and will do it camp. I love peonies.  This peony was different than Asian lady 1 in that I added peony stamen and I outlined the leaves with a gel pen.  I like it. I used gel pens for the jewelry and for the gold on her jacket. I also called an audibly and overpainted her face with metallic paint. Is it the best watercoloring I've ever done? No. But I like it because the gel pens add to its beauty.  So yeah, Love. I will make more Asian ladies to please myself and Sue.
